‘The Amazing Zoe’ series answers the urgent call for more diversity and representation in children’s literature, namely children’s Canadian literature. Our stories are geared toward children ages 0-8+, however, you will find something in our shop that everyone in your family will enjoy.

The Amazing Zoe seeks to elevate the voices of children who have been traditionally marginalized, while offering an opportunity for cultural exchange. Each story’s illustrations appropriately demonstrate equitable multiculturalism with the vision of fostering diverse and compassionate leaders of tomorrow; more of the way in which we wish to see the world.

  • Expose children to culturally diverse characters who look like them, or different than themselves
  • Normalize everyday experiences of culturally diverse characters in all places and spaces

A hit in my classroom

An amazing book for children of all ages, but particularly those in grades K-3. My students absolutely loved it and it raised so many interesting discussions and conversations about the similarities and differences we all have. Valene Campbell took the very big ideas of racism and wrote in a way that children could really wrap their minds around. She visited our classroom virtually to discuss her book and brought so much joy and energy! I would highly recommend this book to parents and educators!
